Mark
provides Tactical Development with executive oversight and strategic
guidance. His successes in managing development initiatives span over twenty years. Prior to
forming Tactical Development he was Director of Corporate Finance with one of
Atlanta's leading venture capital firms. Before this he worked on an independent
basis to help companies resolve strategic and tactical issues in domestic and
international markets. Earlier he held senior management roles in finance,
marketing, and strategic business analysis at Yorkshire Water/Kelda
Group PLC, one of the UK's leading utility, engineering and environmental
services groups with annual revenues of $700 million.
A former Treasurer and Director of the British-American Business
Group,
Mark is also known for his support of the Association for Corporate
Growth and the French-American Chamber of
Commerce.
Mark gained his BSc from King's College, London, in 1980. By 1984 he had
earned professional qualifications in engineering and arbitration. In 1987 he
was uniquely selected by Yorkshire Water/Kelda to complete full-time studies at
Bradford University's acclaimed Management Center on a fully sponsored and
salaried basis. This led to the award of a MBA.
Tactical Development's roots in the
US can be traced to Mark's
first involvement with international mergers and acquisitions from over thirteen
years ago when he moved to Atlanta in 1992 to manage joint development initiatives for
Yorkshire Water/Kelda and Hickson Corporation (now Arch
Wood Protection, Inc. but then the US specialty chemicals
business of Hickson International PLC, a British chemicals business with annual
revenues of $550 million).
